Over 50% of all staterooms are outside, 60% of those are with balconies. Often cruise lines offer special rates that cannot be displayed to the general public. By registering with Cruise.com you will be able to view these special rates and offers. Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds...
Inside Cabin
If you do want to expand your dining experiences during a Carnival Liberty cruise beyond just the complimentary eateries, you’ll have a good handful of selections in that instance, too. Just note you won’t get any grand view with a porthole or picture window; expect to look at the interior of the ship or something similarly uninteresting. After enjoying a few years at sea, the ship underwent a basic dry dock in 2008, which added some enhancements to the Lido Deck and the Circle C lounge for preteens, as well as provided routine cosmetic enhancements. Originally launched in 2005, Carnival Liberty is approaching its 20th birthday, but don’t make the mistake of thinking that this Conquest-class cruise ship is lackluster due to its age. Over its life, the ship has celebrated many “firsts” and groundbreaking cruise industry accomplishments, and it still remains a favorite with cruising families today. In May 2024, Carnival Liberty starts voyages from NOLA/New Orleans (Louisiana USA) replacing Carnival Glory (to be homeported in Port Canaveral).

Day 7: Fun Day at Sea
The 3000-passenger ship Carnival Liberty and the sisterships are larger versions of earlier Destiny-class CCL liners, as well as more feature-filled. More space reveals into additional decks, more bars and lounges, an upscale steakhouse, and well-proportioned public areas. BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. The menu offers up Mexican favorites, including several brands of tequila and a slew of Mexican brews. There’s a lineup of frozen concoctions, cocktails and margaritas served by the glass or by the pitcher, and even a special Mexican beer cocktail (yes, really). So stay cool and take in the bar’s vacation vibe while you kick back on your cruise – that’s what official bar mascot Blue the Iguana would tell you.
Carnival Liberty - Onboard Activities and Entertainment

At Camp Ocean, kids from ages 2 to 11 enjoy activities both educational and just for fun, all led by trained instructors. For preteens, Circle C is a hot spot that offers activities catered just to them. Then, for the teens, Club O2 is the trendiest, coolest spot on the ship.

Find out which fun ingredients — staterooms, dining, activities — go into each deck. In 2016, Carnival Cruise Lines rolled out fleetwide for-fee (chargeable) room service menu, which items can be ordered 24/7. The new menu still has free of charge items – hot and cold sandwiches, salads, desserts, beverages, Continental Breakfast selections. At extra cost (ranging between USD 1,50 and 6) are items that include shrimp, also sushi, pizza, quesadillas, cheesesteaks, chicken wings/tenders, fries. Bar drinks orders through room service are at regular bar menu prices (no extra fee added).

Each of the cabins has a safe (located in the closet) with approx dimensions (inches/centimeters) – width (10/25), height (9/23) and depth (8/20). It is advisable not to use a valid credit card (or driver’s license), but an old expired card (or some rewards card) instead. Life jackets are used in cases of emergency only (not at the ship pools).
Smokers will find designated areas for smoking on Deck 3 (not a sun area, but an outside area nonetheless) and Deck 10, both on the starboard side. This can be a drawback for nonsmokers, but there were enough seats available as to not be an issue on our sailing. And there are the usual wacky cruise contests and games, as well. The Very Hairy Chest Contest was followed by the Give Me Lip Contest (a lip sync battle) and that was just the start of things.
Ocean Suites also include VIP check-in, walk-in closet and bathroom with whirlpool. However, the premium vista balcony staterooms stand apart with multiple windows and bigger, better views, so they’re the way to go if you want more space and better scenery, without the suite price tag. Make yourself at home in a variety of accommodations, all with comfortable furniture with light wood and generous storage space. The ship features a high percentage of oceanview staterooms and some with private balconies.
The towels were surprisingly soft and didn't show signs of wear. If you're traveling with a little one, you'll need to bring everything with you as Carnival carries no formula or baby food. You'll find a bar onboard Liberty that suits your taste buds. With 11 drink venues to choose from, there's no shortage of cocktails, mocktails, beer or wine to be had. On the Lido Deck, the "competition" between the BlueIguana Tequila Bar and RedFrog Rum Bar keeps things lively, while at Alchemy Bar the bartenders take their cocktails very seriously. Or you can take it easy in the Piano bar, sing your heart out with some karaoke or dance the night away in more than a few lounges across the ship.
Generally we had no difficulty finding a place for two of us to sit. Decks 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 all have room for sunning yourself and enjoying the weather, but each deck and each space within each deck, has its own quirks. Like most large ships, the Carnival Liberty has a large casino and shopping arcade, both on the popular Promenade Deck. The ship also has conference rooms, a lovely small library that seems to only be open an hour or so a day, and a card room.
The bathroom’s 2-pin plug can be used only for electric razors. The Carnival cruise ship Liberty has a total of 29 wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) and 18 Spa cabins (all Balcony). Bathrooms in all categories except suites feature showers only, which have curtains that, no matter what you do, won't stay still and splash water everywhere. The sinks are single sinks with a large mirror and plenty of storage shelves to either side to hold toiletries. There's a soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower, and a few other free items -- dental floss, a mending kit, shower cap and the like -- are in the bathroom. Don't worry about your towel usage, there are plenty on hand and you get even more every day courtesy of your room steward's towel animal origami.
In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you. And let’s not forget the extra time you’ll have, since you won’t be waking up and spending most of the day at the office or anything like that. We went looking for someone to help us grill up the best burgers at sea, and we found just the guy. Try a fresh-off-the-grill burger Guy’s way, or take it off-road to our toppings bar and truly make it your own. Passengers aboard the ship are mostly Americans and are evenly distributed across families with kids, seniors, couples and small groups (think family reunions, social clubs and the like) traveling together.
For the adults, they can head to Serenity, an adults-only retreat that’s filled with sunny day beds, its own pool and a bar, so you never have to leave in order to have a great cruising experience. The 2005-built Carnival Liberty cruise ship is the 4th of all 5 Conquest-class vessels - with sisterships Conquest, Freedom, Glory, Valor. This series preceded the new Dream-class trio of newbuilds.
Departing on Sundays from Port NOLA, Liberty will operate 7-day Western Caribbean itineraries plus a 7-day Bahamas+Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Call ports include The Bahamas' Nassau and Freeport, Mexico's Cozumel and Costa Maya, Jamaica's Montego Bay, Honduras' Roatan Island (Mahogany Bay), Grand Cayman, Belize City. The boat has 13 passenger decks, of which 8 are with cabins.
